Thirty Bench Wine Makers

Thirty Bench Wine Makers

The tasting room is much nicer inside than outside, with an area that offers seated tastings.  The building appears to be a re-purposed farm building, one that I actually like but it does compare poorly to its neighbours across the road, Rosewood and Angels Gate.  Like its neighbours, the view towards the lake is beautiful and this Beamsville Bench area is my personal favourite area on the Niagara Peninsula.

The staff is pleasant and helpful but if you don’t opt for the seated tastings, the tasting area is quite cramped.  The wines are good but for the quality, overpriced.  They do have a Pinot Gris that is very good, probably the best in Niagara.  The price rating below is only based on what is available in LCBO because they have no prices on their website.  I suspect that their average price is actually higher than I show here due to the limited wines carried by the LCBO.  During the summer they have “Food Truck Saturdays” but otherwise offer no food.

What do you think?
